These rules apply to the Snow Aurora Comic Con Africa Competition 2026. Please read them before you enter. By entering, you agree to these rules.
1. The promoter
Snow Aurora (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/805061/07), 77 Kindlewood Drive, Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal, 4302 (“Snow Aurora”, “we”, “us”). Contact: info@snowaurora.co.za.
2. Competition period
The competition opens on 24 September 2026 at 09:00 and closes on 27 September 2026 at 18:00 (South African time). Entries received outside this period will not be counted.
3. Who can enter
- Anyone living in South Africa with a delivery address in South Africa.
- Entrants under 18 may enter only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By entering, you confirm that you are 18 or older, or that your parent or guardian has agreed to your entry.
- The following people may not win: directors, employees, agents and consultants of Snow Aurora; anyone who controls Snow Aurora; suppliers of goods or services for this competition; and the spouses, partners and immediate family members of any of these people.
4. How to enter
- Entry is free. You do not need to buy anything.
- Complete the entry form on www.snowaurora.co.za/comic-con-africa with your name, email address and phone number, confirm your age or parental consent, and submit the form before the closing time.
- One entry per person. If you enter more than once, only your first entry counts.
- Subscribing to our newsletter is optional and does not affect your chance of winning.
- Entries that are incomplete, contain false details or are submitted automatically are not valid.
5. The prize
- There is one prize: a hamper of Snow Aurora building block sets chosen by us, with a total retail value of at least R1,000.
- The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or other items. If an item is out of stock, we will replace it with an item of equal or greater value.
- We pay for delivery of the prize anywhere in South Africa. The winner pays nothing to receive the prize.
6. How the winner is chosen
One winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries on 2 October 2026 at 17:00.
7. How the winner is contacted and announced
- We will contact the winner using the email address and/or phone number they entered with.
- The winner must reply within 72 hours of our first attempt to contact them.
- If the winner does not reply within 72 hours, is not eligible, or declines the prize, they give up the prize. We will then draw another winner in the same way, and the same 72-hour rule applies to that winner.
- We will announce the winner on Instagram and Facebook on 2 October 2026, after the draw, using only their first name and the first letter of their surname.
8. Claiming the prize
- To receive the prize, the winner must sign a prize acknowledgement confirming their full name, ID number and the date they received the prize. The law requires us to keep this record.
- If the winner is under 18, their parent or guardian must confirm their consent and sign the acknowledgement on their behalf. The prize will then be delivered to the parent or guardian.
- Once the acknowledgement is signed, we will contact the winner to arrange delivery by courier at our cost.
9. Publicity
We may ask the winner to appear in photos or posts about the competition. The winner may say no, and this will not affect their prize.
10. Your personal information
- We use entrants’ details only to run the competition, contact and verify the winner, deliver the prize and keep the records the law requires.
- We add you to our newsletter only if you ticked the subscribe box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- We delete entry details within 3 months of the competition closing, except the winner’s records, which the law requires us to keep for 3 years.
- For more information, see our Privacy Policy or contact our Information Officer at officer@snowaurora.co.za.
11. General
- These rules are available free of charge on our website and on request from info@snowaurora.co.za.
- We will not change these rules in a way that disadvantages entrants once the competition has started. If we have to cancel or change the competition because of events beyond our control, we will announce it on our website and social media.
- Nothing in these rules limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
- If you have a complaint, please contact us at info@snowaurora.co.za. You may also contact the National Consumer Commission at www.thencc.org.za.
