1.1 What we sell

A full description of each product, including its main characteristics, the number of pieces, dimensions and age guidance, appears on that product’s page. Prices are shown on the product page and in your cart.

1.2 Payment security

Payments are processed by Payfast, a South African payment gateway that is PCI DSS compliant. Card details are entered on Payfast’s secure systems and are never seen or stored by us. Our website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

1.3 Your record of the transaction

When you place an order we email you an order confirmation setting out what you bought, the price, the delivery address and your order number. If you have an account, every order is also stored under My Account, where you can view and download it at any time. We keep order records for 5 years as required by tax and company law. If you need a copy of an older order, email orders@snowaurora.co.za.

2. Using This Website

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and not for any illegal or unauthorised activity, including (but not limited to) hacking, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or breaching website security.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website if we reasonably suspect misuse or a breach of these Terms.

3. Your Account

To place an order or access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login details
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We may suspend or delete your account if we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, or a breach of security. You may close your account at any time from My Account or by emailing info@snowaurora.co.za.

4. Orders, Pricing and Payment

4.1 Placing an order

By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and that the delivery and contact information you have given us is accurate.

Your order is an offer to buy. Before you pay, the checkout shows you a full summary of your order, and you can change quantities, remove items, correct your details, or leave the checkout without buying anything. Please check this summary carefully, because it is your opportunity to review the transaction and correct any mistakes before you place the order.

We accept your offer, and a contract comes into existence, when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. An order confirmation email on its own is an acknowledgement that we have received your order, not an acceptance of it.

4.2 Prices

All prices are shown in South African Rand. Snow Aurora (Pty) Ltd is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is charged on your order. Delivery costs are calculated and shown separately at checkout, before you pay, so the total you see at checkout is the total you pay.

4.3 Pricing errors

We take care to price everything correctly, but errors happen. If we discover an obvious and inadvertent error in the price of something you have ordered, we will not be bound by that price. We will contact you before doing anything, and you may either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. We will also correct the error on the website and take reasonable steps to inform anyone else affected by it.

4.4 Payment

We accept secure payment via Payfast, using credit and debit cards and EFT. Full payment is required before we dispatch your order.

4.5 If we cannot fulfil your order

We may cancel an order if the item is unavailable or out of stock, if there was an obvious and inadvertent pricing error, if we cannot deliver to the address you gave us, or if we reasonably suspect fraud. If we cancel your order we will tell you why and refund you in full within 7 business days.

5. Promotions, Discount Codes and Competitions

We regularly run promotions, discount codes, sales and competitions. The following general rules always apply:

  • A discount code must be entered in the coupon field at checkout before you place your order. We cannot apply a code to an order that has already been placed, and we cannot refund the difference afterwards.
  • Only one discount code may be used per order. Codes cannot be combined or stacked.
  • A discount code applies to the value of qualifying products in your cart. It does not apply to delivery charges.
  • Discount codes have no cash value and are not gift vouchers, store credit or prepaid vouchers.
  • Codes are personal to the person we issued them to and may not be sold, traded or published on coupon or deal websites.
  • If you return an item bought using a discount code, we refund what you actually paid for that item after the discount, not its full listed price.
  • We may refuse or reverse a discount, and cancel the affected order, if we reasonably believe a code has been obtained, used or shared fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.

5.1 WELCOME10 welcome discount

New newsletter subscribers receive the WELCOME10 discount code by email. The code:

  • can only be used by customers who are logged in to a Snow Aurora account. You can create an account free of charge at checkout;
  • can be used once per account;
  • gives 10% off full-priced products. It does not apply to sale items or to delivery charges;
  • cannot be combined with any other discount code.

5.2 Competitions

Each competition we run has its own rules. They are published on a rules page linked from that competition’s entry page and are available free of charge on request from info@snowaurora.co.za. The rules for our current competition are here: Comic Con Africa Competition 2026 Rules.

Competition rules form part of these Terms. Where the rules of a specific promotion or competition differ from this section, those specific rules apply.

6. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. In the event of a stock shortage or delay, we will contact you to:

  • Offer an alternative product, or
  • Arrange a backorder, or
  • Process a refund for the unavailable item

Images on the website are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly in colour and finish.

7. Delivery

We deliver throughout South Africa using trusted courier partners. We aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days of receiving payment. Delivery times vary depending on your location but typically take 2 to 7 working days from dispatch.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and added to your total. Delivery is free on orders over R700.

Risk in your order stays with us until you, or someone at the delivery address you gave us, accepts delivery. If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is our responsibility, not yours, and we will replace it or refund you. Please tell us within a reasonable time of the expected delivery date so we can trace it.

Where a delay is caused by a courier, a public holiday, load shedding, or a force majeure event as described in section 17.9, we will keep you informed and work to resolve it, but we are not liable for the delay itself. This does not affect your right to cancel the order and receive a full refund if we fail to deliver within the agreed time or within a reasonable time.

8. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

8.1 Your right to change your mind (cooling-off)

Under section 44 of ECTA, you may cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason and without any penalty.

  • Email orders@snowaurora.co.za with your order number to cancel.
  • Return the goods to us in their original condition. You pay only the direct cost of returning them.
  • We refund you in full within 30 days of the date of cancellation.

This right does not apply to goods made to your specification or personalised for you, or to audio or video recordings or computer software where the sealing has been broken.

8.2 If the goods are not what you ordered

Under section 20 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), you may return goods and get a full refund if they do not match the sample or description shown to you, or if they are not what you ordered. There is no charge to you for this.

Under section 21 of the CPA, if we send you goods you did not order, you do not have to pay for them. Let us know and we will arrange collection at our cost.

8.3 Our returns and exchanges policy

In addition to your rights above, we operate a goodwill returns policy that accepts unopened, sealed items up to 14 days after delivery. The conditions are set out in our Returns and Exchanges policy. Nothing in that policy limits the statutory rights described in sections 8.1, 8.2 and 9.

8.4 How we refund you

Refunds are paid back to the payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing. To start any return or exchange, email orders@snowaurora.co.za with your order number and the reason.

9. Quality, Warranties and Faulty Goods

9.1 Your right to quality goods

Under section 55 of the CPA, you have the right to receive goods that are reasonably suitable for the purpose they are generally intended for, of good quality, in good working order, free of defects, and useable and durable for a reasonable period of time.

9.2 The six-month warranty

Under section 56 of the CPA, if goods you bought from us turn out to be unsafe or defective, you may return them within 6 months of delivery, at our cost and risk, and you may choose whether we repair them, replace them, or refund you in full. The choice is yours, not ours.

If we repair an item and the same failure happens again within 3 months of that repair, we will replace the item or refund you.

9.3 What this does not cover

This does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect or alteration after delivery, or normal wear and tear. Because our products are building block sets, it also does not cover a set that has been assembled and disassembled repeatedly beyond normal use.

9.4 How to claim

Email orders@snowaurora.co.za with your order number, a description of the problem and a photograph if possible. We will arrange collection or return at our cost and confirm your choice of repair, replacement or refund.

10. Disclaimer

This section applies to the website and its content. It does not apply to the products we sell. Your rights in respect of the products are set out in sections 8 and 9 and are not limited by anything in this section.

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not warrant that:

  • The website will be available without interruption or free of errors
  • The content, including product descriptions, blog articles and stock indications, is complete, current or free of typographical error
  • The website or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components

Product images are for illustration. Colours may appear differently on different screens. Where a product description contains an obvious error, we will correct it, and section 4.3 applies to pricing errors.

11. Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully. It limits the amount we can be held liable for in certain circumstances, and it is an important part of these Terms.

11.1 What we never exclude

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury
  • Any harm covered by section 61 of the CPA, which makes us liable for harm caused by unsafe goods, a product failure, defect or hazard, or inadequate instructions or warnings, whether or not we were negligent
  • Gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law

11.2 Our liability in all other cases

Subject always to section 11.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with an order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product that the claim relates to
  • We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, including loss of income, loss of business, loss of profit or loss of data
  • We are not liable for loss arising from your failure to keep your account details confidential

11.3 Your statutory rights

This section does not affect your rights under the CPA or ECTA, including your rights set out in sections 8 and 9 above. Where any part of this section is found to be unenforceable, the rest of it continues to apply.

12. Product Safety and Age Suitability

Our building block sets contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Small parts present a choking hazard.

Age guidance appears on each product page. Please read it before buying, particularly when buying as a gift. Adult supervision is recommended for younger builders.

If you believe a product we sold you is unsafe, stop using it and contact us immediately at info@snowaurora.co.za so we can investigate and, where necessary, recall it.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal information in accordance with POPIA. What we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it is set out in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Our Information Officer is Xiaofang Chen. You can reach them at officer@snowaurora.co.za for any request about your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, objection or withdrawal of consent.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, logos, product descriptions, graphics, and designs, is the property of Snow Aurora (or its content suppliers) and is protected under copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or republish any content
  • Modify or create derivative works
  • Use our brand or content for commercial purposes without prior written consent

15. Third-Party Websites and Links

Our website links to other websites and social media platforms that we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content, their terms or how they handle your information. Read their policies before giving them anything.

This does not apply to the service providers we choose to fulfil your order, such as our payment gateway and couriers. Our responsibility for your order is set out in sections 7 to 11.

16. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If something has gone wrong, please tell us first. Email orders@snowaurora.co.za with your order number and what happened. We will acknowledge your complaint within 1 business day and aim to resolve it within 7 business days.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you may refer the matter to:

The National Consumer Commission
complaints@thencc.org.za, www.thencc.org.za

You may also approach a court with jurisdiction. Using any of these does not affect your other legal rights.

17. General

17.1 Capacity

You must be 18 or older to buy from us. If you are under 18, you may only use this website with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for the order.

17.2 Whole agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Returns and Exchanges policy and the rules of any competition you enter, make up the whole agreement between you and us in relation to your use of this website and any order you place.

17.3 Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. Changes take effect once posted on this page, and the Last Updated date at the top always shows the current version.

17.4 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force.

17.5 No waiver

If we do not enforce a right under these Terms on one occasion, that does not mean we give up that right.

17.6 Cession and assignment

You may not cede or assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may cede or assign ours as part of a sale or restructuring of the business, provided your rights are not reduced.

17.7 Notices

We send notices to the email address on your account or order. You send notices to info@snowaurora.co.za or to our address in section 1. Under section 23 of ECTA, an email is regarded as received when it becomes capable of being retrieved by the person it was sent to.

17.8 Electronic communication

You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, and that clicking to accept these Terms, placing an order, or submitting a form on this website creates a valid and binding agreement under ECTA. A record stored in our systems is admissible evidence of that agreement.

17.9 Force majeure

Neither of us is liable for failing to perform because of an event beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic, war, civil unrest, strike, sustained failure of electricity supply or telecommunications, or an act of government. If such an event prevents us from delivering your order within a reasonable time, you may cancel it for a full refund.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
